Food for thought ...

"AGRRRRRRRR...... Sandwich again !" He made a face as he closed the lid of his lunch box and walked towards his school canteen. Today again he must remember to throw the lunch into the big dustbin on the way home. "Why did his mom make things so difficult for him !", he thought.

Her tiny hands could not reach inside the huge dustbin. Where did the bricks she kept there yesterday go ? She found them lying in a corner.  She ran as fast as her tiny legs could go and grabbed the bricks. She had to get it before the dogs came. Finally she grabbed her treasure . A smile broke out on her tear stained face. She looked towards the sky and slowly whispered " thank you mom for the sandwich"

  10. That's sad. I wish we have such a system in our country where everyone can get atleast food. I have seen kids eating from garbage when I was in Noida. Such a sorry state.

This is one brilliant post. Good that you are writing for BSR.

  23. Very nice TTT. Your post bring to my mind the great poet Subramaniya Bharati. He says- “Burn the whole world if just one individual on this earth is starving without food.”
Thatls the level of importance we need to give to hunger and starvation!
    Very well written.
